Abstract

Objective: To explore the effect of case management on neurogenic bladder in stroke. Method: A total of 152 cases of hospitalized patients with the first stroke from January 2014 to December 2016 were randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group with 76 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were given discharge guidance and health education, and the patients in the intervention group were given the case management for intervention with 6 months. Results: Two groups of patients discharged from the hospital after 6 months, the incidence rate, return rate, clean intermittent catheterization operation rate and ADL score, quality of life questionnaire urinary incontinence score between the groups were statistically significant difference in complications (P<0.05); but in the readmission rate of two group had no significant difference (P>0.05). Conclusion: Case management of neurogenic bladder in patients with stroke can effectively improve the clinical outcome within 6 months after hospital discharge, and can be a recommendation for clinical significance.
