Dr. Paolo Mendogni cover a role of staff surgeon of the Thoracic Surgery and Lung Transplant Unit at University Hospital “Foundation IRCCS Ca’ Granda Ospedale maggiore Policlinico” of Milan, Italy. His clinical interests are Thymic diseases, minimally invasive thoracic surgery and lung transplantation.

After his Medical Degree he completed the residency in Thoracic Surgery at University of Milan. Furthermore, he completed his PhD program at University of Milan.

He is capable of several surgical thoracic procedure, including VATS and open thymectomy, pulmonary lobectomy and segmentectomy, EBUS-TBNA, lung transplantation (both donor and recipient surgery).

Dr. Mendogni holds the membership of several scientific societies, European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS), Italian Society of Thoracic Surgery (SICT), Italian Society of Thoracic Endoscopy (SIET), Italian Society of Organ Transplantation (SITO), Italian Society of Young Surgeons (SPIGC).

He is chief of the Thoracic Section (comprehending Thoracic Surgery, Esophageal Surgery, Cardiac Surgery and Vascular Surgery) of the Italian Society of Young Surgeons (SPIGC), and is the coordinator of the Pneumothorax Working Group of the Italian Society of Thoracic Surgery (SICT).

Dr. Mendogni is author and co-author of more than 60 scientific papers on Indexed Journals.
